ABOUT ME

AGU Headshot_2021.JPG

I am a Provost's Early Career Cohort Postdoctoral Fellow at the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin.

I completed my Ph.D. in igneous petrology advised by Dr. Claire McLeod in the Dept. of Geology and Environmental Earth Science at Miami University, Ohio. I obtained my undergraduate degree in geology (magna cum laude) from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.

As an igneous petrologist, I am interested in the origin and evolution of arc magmas and their relationship to continental crust evolution.

As a first-generation Latina born and raised in Puerto Rico, I am also incredibly passionate about diversifying academia and creating welcoming spaces for black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).
